Why did I buy Rare Beauty products?
I have been a huge fan of Selena Gomez ever since I was a child who watched her on Wizards of Waverly Place. Gomez’s natural make up style over the years has always inspired me when doing my makeup. I focus on enhancing the features I have. Natural makeup has had a resurgence in the past year on social media and now Rare Beauty is a brand focusing on this demographic. This brand is truly inclusive from the shade range (48 shades) and the packaging is also eco-friendly and easily recyclable which is a huge plus for me.
The Products

Liquid Touch Weightless Foundation $29 (360W)
The shade was a touch darker than I anticipated but after blending it out and letting the foundation sit on the skin, the color was a good match. I love a light coverage foundation that feels like nothing on the skin and Rare Beauty accomplished this for me. I am very oily so I was worried about it being a more satin finish but after setting my face with the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish powder (2 Medium), I did not have to touch up after 7 hours of wear.

Liquid Touch Brightening Concealer $19 (360W)
I found the concealer to be a bit lighter than the foundation despite being the same shade. This concealer is thicker than the foundation and does not crease underneath my eyes. I set it with my Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish powder (2 Medium) and it looked beautiful. The concealer was able to cover my acne scars and blemishes very well.

Soft Pinch Liquid Blush $20 (Love)
I love the terracotta shade on my medium/ olive skin tone and the matte finish. I prefer putting the product on the back of my hand and using the Liquid Touch Multi-Tasking Sponge to blend out the product as the best form of application. When I tried to apply the blush directly to my face with the doe foot applicator, the dots of the product would not blend out. Typically, with cream blushes, I don’t enjoy the dewy finish even after setting the product with a powder I trust. The blushes are very pigmented which I love as I have a darker skin tone. With blushes like the Glossier Cloud Paint and Em Cosmetics Serum Blushes, these products can be quite sheer when blended out and lose a lot of pigment by the end of the day. However, the color of the Soft Pinch Liquid Blush (Love) was incredibly pigmented after 7 hours.

Positive Light Liquid Luminizer $22 (Transcend)
I adore this liquid highlighter. I used the same form of application as the liquid blush and put the product on the back of my hand but used my finger to blend the product. There is no cast on my skin when I am facing forward and the product is very buildable. The highlighter can create a natural glow or be built towards a blinding product on the face.

With Gratitude Dewy Lip Balm $16 (Support)
The color looks gorgeous on my skin tone and is much more pigmented than I expected. This lip balm can easily act as a hydrating lipstick. The product applied seamlessly on my lips and felt incredibly moisturizing. I will definitely be picking up more shades in the future!

Lip Soufflé Matte Lip Cream $20 (Brave)
This is the perfect fall color for me and the formula is sublime. Typically, I have never been a fan of liquid lipsticks as I have thin lips which makes the product more difficult to apply. Thankfully, the product is very easy to apply and can be blotted out for a sheer look or built up for intense color pay off. The lip cream has a mousse-like texture and it is very comfortable and soft on the lips. I did have to reapply after eating my dinner but I do that with every lip product I own so that is not a deal breaker for me.

Liquid Touch Multi-Tasking Sponge $14
This is the softest sponge I have ever touched while it was dry. I assume the very porous and soft texture of the sponge is to make wetting and cleaning the sponge easier for those with arthritis or other disabilities. The sponge blended my concealer and blush the best while blending my foundation was not as effective. Overall, I enjoyed the sponge and would definitely repurchase it in the future.

Always An Optimist 4-In-1 Mist $24
The spray has a fine mist and it does not leave wet spots on my skin but melts into my makeup instead. I use this mist as a setting spray and I love the glow it gives my skin. I don’t myself with very oily skin hours after using the spray. I feel very hydrated and refreshed. There is a very light scent that reminds me of a spa but the spray does not irritate my sensitive and acne prone skin.
