Calm Before the Storm

I just wanted to check in and discuss briefly what is yet to come this season for gaming.
My main concern right now is definitely E3. Last year the conferences as a whole was pretty weak. There were no grand moments at the conferences where I felt like jumping out of my seat and cheering for the game that was being presented. The closest that I got to that feeling was the Ubisoft conference where Miyamoto came on stage during the Mario and Rabbids game.
I have set my expectations at a good medium right now heading into E3 season. Last year there weren't really any trailers shown with new and exciting information that we didn't already know. I really hope we can get a gameplay trailer of The Last of Us Part II but I have a feeling that it definitely won't happen. Maybe there will actually be a release date for Kingdom Hearts 3 but again...probably not gonna happen. That game was supposed to come out 5 years ago and still no set release date in 2018.
I hope to see more titles for the Nintendo Switch because right now there isn't enough content available for me to buy one. My sister owns one and I would love to have one but I don't care for the games that have been released on the switch. Also Breath of the Wild and Mario Kart 8 are already on the Wii U.
I'm not quite sure what to expect from other companies but I will continue to do my research these coming weeks and make a follow up post in the future.
